Technical overview

These specifications apply to a standard 24:1 L/D extruder. With this machine, it is possible to manufacture all types of products with high quality and throughput. For special applications, different lengths are available, for example, 48:1, which may be necessary for the production of acrylic clear coatings for automotive and other uses.

The following features are included

• Split barrel design for easy access for cleaning, inspection, and abrasive wear inspection.

• Hydraulic assistance for barrel opening.

• Top feed or side feed, depending on your preference. Multiple feed ports can also be realized.

• Barrel liners in 4L/D sections are available in different materials, including wear resistant steel.

• Screw configurations to be determined in accordance with customers’ wishes. Different materials including high wear resistance available.

• Different barrel lengths available, ranging from 16:1, 24:1, and even 48:1 for the most demanding applications.

• Lubrication system for gear box including a heat exchanger and temperature monitoring.

• Advanced cooling and heating systems achieve temperature accuracy of +/- 2 deg C.

• Material sensors provide uninterrupted material flow for superior product quality.

• Touch screen control panel with customizable HMI provides a high degree of control over the process. Parameters can be grouped into recipes, stored, and easily accessed. Different operation modes can be programmed.
